Frequently asked questions
Is Teen Paati Hisab free?
Yes. It’s completely free, with no ads, no login and nothing to download.
Does the app handle money or payments?
No. It only keeps a record of chips and tells you who owes whom. Any money changes hands between players, outside the app. It does not host games, take bets, or connect to UPI or banks.
Does everyone at the table need the app?
No. One person, usually the host, keeps the hisaab on their phone. Everyone else just gets the result on WhatsApp at the end.
What does “Take from bank” mean?
The bank is the pile of chips everyone draws from. Each time a player takes chips, tap + next to their name so the app knows how many chips they started with.
Someone gave chips to a friend mid-game. How do I log it?
Tap Transfer, pick who gave and who received, and confirm. Transfers are counted like a loan, so the giver gets the credit at the end.
What if the chips don’t add up at the end?
The app shows the exact gap, for example “100 extra” or “100 missing”, before you can settle. Recount one player at a time, or check the Activity log for a missed bank take.
What’s the difference between “Pay directly” and “Through host”?
Pay directly gives the fewest payments between players. Through host means losers pay the host and the host pays the winners. Both give everyone the same final result, and you can switch even after the session ends.
How does each person know what to pay?
Under every name, the result shows exactly what to do, like “Pay Ashwini 200 · Vrinda 150” or “Collect 80 from Pratyush”. Tick each payment off as it’s made.
Can I use points instead of rupees?
Yes. Points are the default. You can pick rupees when you start a table.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. After your first visit it works offline, and everything saves on your phone instantly, so a refresh or a dead battery won’t lose your table.
How do I install it on my phone?
On iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the menu, then “Install app”.
Can I use it for other games?
Yes. It works for any chip-based home game: rummy, poker nights or anything where chips change hands.
Is my data private?
Your tables, names and amounts stay on your own device, and we never see them. See the Privacy Policy.
Is it legal to use?
Teen Paati Hisab is a record-keeping tool for adults (18+). Rules about card games differ between Indian states, so you are responsible for following the law where you play.
Where can I learn the rules?
